There are many ways to get involved at Whiteley
Never Alone – Covid-19 Appeal
For over a hundred years our charity The Whiteley Homes Trust has been supporting and caring for some of the most disadvantaged older people in Surrey, here at Whiteley Village. Like our NHS partners and all other housing and social care providers, we currently face financial and practical challenges on a scale none of us have ever experienced.
This global health emergency has created a perfect storm for our community. Key income from our events and venues has ceased, and our costs have surged – providing the amount of vital equipment needed to protect our staff (PPE) and paying for all the agency nurses and carers we need to continue providing services when our own staff become sick or have to self-isolate.
Can you help?
Donating
Legacy Gifts. A legacy gift can be set up when you make your will or, at a late date, by adding a codicil. You should always seek advice from a solicitor to help you do this and to explore any tax saving advantages. Your will is personal to you and so there is no need to tell us of your pledge in advance if you do not wish to do so. However, if you are happy to share that information, we are always grateful for advance notification of your plans and pledge.
Giving in Memory. Donating to the work of our charity is a wonderful way of celebrating the life of a loved one. You will be helping protect the future of Whiteley Village and supporting our mission to help more older people in need. Many families of our former villagers have chosen to give in their memory, often in place of funeral flowers and most funeral companies are happy to collect the donations and pass them on to us on your behalf.
Donations or Sponsorship. If you, or your organisation would like to support the work of our charity either through a financial donation, or in kind through sponsorship or volunteering for example, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
