Rachel Hill

Chief Executive Officer

Rachel joined the Trust in 2018 from Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust where she was Head of Nursing Haematology, Cellular Pathology, Spiritual Care, Palliative and End of Life Care. Prior to that, she was Director of Clinical Services at Woking and Sam Beare Hospices.

Rachel is a registered nurse, and has a Masters Degree in Palliative Care from King’s College London. She is passionate about providing high quality housing and support to those who need it most, and ensuring Whiteley residents are able to live life in all its fullness whatever their age, health or state of illness. Rachel is strongly committed to social justice and to empowering compassionate and supportive communities to develop and thrive.

Julian Briant

Director of Property, Estates, Housing & Community

Julian is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with over 35 years’ experience in estate management. He has worked for a range of charity and private clients including an almshouse charity based in Balham, South London for the benefit of disabled ex-Service personnel, and an endowed educational charity assisting residents across nine London boroughs.

Julian’s work has taken him to Hampstead Garden Suburb and to Letchworth, both notable examples of the Garden City movement. The architecture at Whiteley Village was therefore very familiar to him. Julian’s expertise is predominantly in property management and maintaining and improving vacant buildings, often Listed and within Conservation Areas, to achieve their full potential. Outside work he is a Singing Member of The Bach Choir which shares a Patron with Whiteley Village – HRH The Prince of Wales.

Ossie Klass

Director of Finance, People and IT

Ossie has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He has over 25 years’ experience in senior financial and operational roles in accountancy practice, local government, housing associations and charities. Over the last 20 years he has worked in supported housing covering a variety of client groups. Outside of work Ossie loves walking, going to the gym, doing DIY projects and music production. Ossie is married with three children.

Fiona Broadberry

Interim Director of Care

Fiona is a Registered Nurse and a highly experienced professional who has worked for many years in the health, social care and charity sectors. This year (2022) she celebrates forty years in nursing and during her career has worked for the NHS and in the private and charity sectors in many countries including the UK and Ireland, Saudi Arabia, USA and Australia. Since 2010 she has worked in the field of older people’s care as a senior manager, and most recently was Director of Quality and Governance for another care provider. She is passionate about delivering person-centered care, and ensuring residents are happy and feel they have a voice.
